M’s Pub combines chef-driven food and wine in a restored Old Market warehouse, while Anthem adds brunch, happy hour, and late-night service on Howard Street.
801 Chophouse is the formal downtown choice for prime cuts, seafood, a deep wine list, and classic steakhouse service. The dinner is substantially richer and more expensive than the Old Market's contemporary rooms, so choose it when the steakhouse itself is the event.
Dirty Birds serves chicken sandwiches, whole fried birds, and buttermilk biscuits inside the historic Flatiron building. Anthem’s Old Market dining room offers weekend brunch, daily happy hour, and late-night Friday and Saturday service for a less formal downtown meal.
Ooh De Lally gives Dundee a nonprofit restaurant with a full-service dining room and a workforce mission. Underwood Avenue adds independent storefronts and bars around the meal; Benson offers a separate restaurant-and-music district along Maple Street rather than an extension of the same walk.
Beyond downtown
Underwood Avenue mixes independent storefronts and restaurants among older residential blocks. Ooh De Lally pairs a nonprofit workforce mission with a full-service dining room. Benson’s Maple Street is the alternative for bars, live music, murals, and casual food farther west.
